An Editorial Profile By the Editors

A Note from the Editor-in-Chief

The intelligence layer for the autonomous, electric, and connected vehicle era.

AutoRevolution is an independent research and news platform decoding how AI, electrification, and connectivity are rewriting the four-trillion-dollar auto industry. We publish original analysis, OEM teardowns, and proprietary data the global mobility industry reads before it moves.

Editorial Mission

What we cover, how we work, and why independence is non-negotiable.

Three chapters. One set of rules. AutoRevolution covers the four forces rewriting the auto industry — and is funded entirely by the readers it serves.

Chapter 01

The four-pillar coverage lens

Every story we publish maps to one of four pillars: artificial intelligence (perception stacks, foundation models for driving, on-device inference), electrification (battery chemistries, cell-to-pack architectures, charging infrastructure), connectivity (software-defined vehicles, E/E architecture, over-the-air pipelines), and mobility intelligence (the proprietary AutoRevolution EV Adoption Index, dealer economics, fleet data). If a story does not advance one of those four, we do not run it.

Chapter 02

How we report

Twenty-seven full-time analysts, editors, and data scientists work across nine countries. We source every quantitative claim, label every forecast as a forecast, and disclose every material relationship with the companies we cover. Our flagship annual report — The State of the Software-Defined Vehicle, 312 pages — is downloaded by 84,000 industry readers each year and is built on primary data from S&P Global Mobility and our own OEM teardown program.

The average analyst response time on reader questions is six hours. Industry inquiries to competing trade outlets, by contrast, sit unanswered for an average of eleven days.

Chapter 03

Why independence is non-negotiable

Since 2022, AutoRevolution has run on a single revenue model: reader subscriptions. We do not run sponsored content. We do not accept OEM briefings under embargo in exchange for coverage. We do not allow our analysts to hold material positions in the equities they analyze. The result is a publication cited more than 4,200 times in academic and trade journals — and a publication our readers can quote in a board meeting without a footnote.

Advisory Board
